As part of the CU-KU International Symposium in Education, the school and institutional visit components serve as a vital bridge between academic discourse and real-world practice. It offers participants immersive experience to observe how the principles of inclusive education and social inclusion are being applied in various learning environments and social contexts. Aligned with the symposium’s overarching theme, "Inclusive Society," these visits aim to highlight how educational and social systems can respond to diversity, promote equity, and support holistic development for all individuals.
A core objective of the visit program is to explore prototypes of good practices in inclusive education, offering participants the opportunity to witness innovative, context-driven strategies and models that are effectively creating inclusive environments in Thailand.
Demonstration School of Kasetsart University, where participants will observe inclusive education practices within a university-affiliated school model. This visit will highlight the application of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), differentiated instruction, inclusive leadership, and support systems that serve diverse learners—serving as a potential prototype for inclusive education implementation.
Amartayakul School, known for its commitment to fostering diversity and promoting holistic student development. Participants will explore how the school embraces student differences, integrates social-emotional learning, and equips learners with essential life skills in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
Thailand Institute of Justice (TIJ), where the focus will shift to inclusion in the broader societal context. This visit will provide valuable insights into how inclusive practices and rehabilitative approaches can be extended to individuals who have experienced incarceration. Participants will learn about educational and social reintegration programs, policy frameworks, and collaborative efforts aimed at supporting formerly incarcerated individuals to reintegrate into society with dignity, opportunity, and equity.
Together, these visits emphasize that inclusion must be a lifelong, cross-sectoral effort—not limited to formal education systems, but extended to all spheres of society. They underscore the importance of education as a transformative tool in building inclusive communities that embrace diversity, reduce social exclusion, and promote shared prosperity.
By engaging directly with practitioners, administrators, and community stakeholders, participants will gain first-hand perspectives on the practical implementation of inclusion across diverse contexts. These experiences will foster critical reflection, international dialogue, and collaboration toward developing inclusive policies, research in educational changes, and practices that can be adapted and scaled globally.
